Saints Row 2 is an open world game for the Xbox 360, PS3 & PC. Developed by Volition, Saints Row 2 returns to the city of Stilwater, armed with new weapons and a lot of customization, Saints Row 2 is set to change the face of open world games. Due for release 14th October 2008. This site is the number one fan site for Saints row 2.
Unleash the darker side to Saints Row 2 and what do you get? It seems you are faced with the leader of Stillwater’s underground drug trafficking. Faced with the option to try and gain control of Stillwater’s lucrative drugs trade, the 3rd Street Saints, the gang you now control will do everything in their power to try and destroy the Sons of Samedi. Details were released a while ago discussing one of the first missions on THQ’s Saints Row 2, the mission was simple, go to where the Sons of Samedi produce their drugs and destroy their labs! I imagine many of the Sons of Samedi missions will be based upon destroying their drugs and finding out how to make it.
It will be interesting to see if we are going to be able to sell our own drugs on the streets of Stilwater. If it is possible I would like the option to be able to place members of the 3rd street around Stilwater, getting them to sell the drugs we are producing.

Saints Row 2 publishers THQ have released some more marketing material for their Xbox 360, PS3 & PC game. This time they have decided to release a video detailing how a new gang, the brotherhood have introduced theirselves into the city of Stilwater. Lead by a fearsome looking man by the name of Maero, the brotherhood are a punch first, ask questions later type of gang. To be honest not many people would want to mess with a menacing looking character such as Maero. The October 14th release is only 65 days away, at the time of writing, I imagine that there will be videos for the other two new gangs fighting for power within stilwater, The Ronin & the Sons of Samedi. A new interview has been released today from gaming website totalvideogames.com. They managed to grab an interview with Saints row 2 Associate Producer, Dan Sutton. Although not too much new information is released in the interview, a quick mention about gaining new fighting moves proves to be quite an interesting read. TVG.com asked this question "TVG: Additional fighting styles will become unlocked as the game progresses; how do these become available?" Dan replied with this answer "When you fight certain gangs as you go along, you'll adapt your style. You won't have to beat them entirely to unlock those; we don't want them to be only for people that complete the game. We made it so that when you complete a certain amount of missions against a gang, you'll start to unlock those extra combat moves. You'll then be able to go to a plastic surgery shop and apply those to your character." This is going to be an interesting part to Saints Row 2, I imagine that Japanese gang, The Ronin will have a kung-fu style of fighting, the Brotherhood biker gang may have a street fighter style. Depending on what type of fighting style you prefere you could decide to complete most of the Ronin missions if you wished to unlock their fighting style. Ever fancied you’re self as a bit of an entrepreneur? Gamespot.com has recently released a new article that gives details of some features that will be available in Saints row 2. One particular feature stands out from the rest; apparently we will be able to buy over 70 stores, ranging from "clothing, tattoos, music, liquor, firearms, cars, bikes, and boats, as well as restaurants." Great news for anyone wanting to make a quick bit of cash! It is not clear whether we will be able to redesign the look of the shops we purchase, but owning that many shops will give our character the feeling of having great power within the city of Stilwater. With the release of Saints Row 2 less than 87 days away, at the time of writing, the media push is beginning to take shape for THQ's PC, Xbox & PS3 release. As many of you will probably know, a man by the name of James Tsai is the lead designer on Saints Row 2, an exclusive interview has surfaced from the recent E3 event. Unfortunatly this update is going to have to be fairly quick due to lack of time. Just wanted to make sure everyone gets to see all the new videos and screenshots that have been released. Finally! The trailer we have all been waiting for! Many questions can now be answered about all the previous screenshots that were released. Firstly though I need to add a video that many of you would have probably already seen, but due to lack to time & internet I was unable to add it to this site, the only Saints Row 2 fan site on the net! The Saints Row 2 Vs GTA IV activities trailer is the video I am speaking about, I don't want to say too much about it as the video is a few weeks old now, just watch the video below if you have not yet seen it:

What do you think of the new screenshots? Graphics are improving with every screenshot that is being released now, with the release of Saints Row 2 just over three months away, many screenshots and trailers will be released. As previously mentioned the trailer we have all been waiting for is finally here, so firstly watch the trailer (If you have not already done so and skipped the boring text parts!):
AMAZING! Finally we are able to see how the story line will develop, right from the hospital bed, to the prison break out at the beginning and onto building up an empire again and over throwing the three new gangs that are trying to take control of the city of Stilwater. An interview with lead developer James Tsai also accompanies the new trailer, this can be read here not too much information is released from the interview, it is nice to read about there being over 90 minutes of cut scenes in Saints row 2.
Just how does Saints row compare to Saints row 2? A few screenshots have been found of old characters from Saints row, who will be appearing in Saints row 2. Johnny Gat, Julius & Mr.Wong are some of the characters that can be seen, remember that Saints row 2 is set 15 years after the first version, it is interesting to see how the years have affected some of the characters we saw whilst playing Saints row. Graphically, you can see how much better the graphics are, the detail in the faces of the characters is amazing compared to Saints row and lets face it the graphics for Saints row were pretty good! Only a few months after the first official Saints row 2 website was launched, the new look site has a fresher, easier to navigate look.
