| Saints row 2 is due for release during 2008 on xbox 360 and playstation 3 (ps3). As one of the first dedicated fan sites to saints row two we aim to bring you all the latest details that the game will bring. We will be updating this page as more details emerge but for now here are a few details that we have been told will be in the game. Please be aware what I will only put details on this page once they have been confirmed on the official Saints row 2 website.
Saints row 2 is set a few years after the original saints row. The city has been developed and looks a lot more modernised. The city of Stilwater LOOKS like it has around 15 years of development, in truth the game is just set a few years later.
Players will be able to customise the age, gender and voice of the characters they create. For the first time female characters will be introduced into the game.
You are now able to customise the cribs you get throughout the game. We are told there are now going to be around 8-9 cribs avaliable. The crib customisation is done in three stages, cheap, classy or ultra modern. Of course the higher up the scale you go the more expensive the crib will be. We now have details on some of the items you can buy for your crib. Stripper poles, pool tables, paintings, sofas and beds are confirmed. Electronic items may also be upgradeable.
A wider variety of cars is avaliable in Saints row 2, motorbikes, planes, boats and helicopters are now avaliable to move your character around the city.
Saints row 2 will be made avaliable to play online. Players will be able to participate in a two player multi-player game online. This will be a first for the gaming genre.
There will be different weather effects in saints row 2, we are not too sure of the details yet but say for example if it is raining you should be able to see citizens of Stillwater walking around with umbrellas. Making the game look a lot more realistic.
The city is set to be around 45% bigger than the saints row city of stillwater.
If you are being chased, you can shoot your pursuer in the nether-regions. He will fall to the floor, and other pedestrians will gather round to check on him, thus meaning you can get away that much easier.
You can use limpet mines on cars, walls and even the backs of your enemies. This should make playing on xbox live a lot of fun!
If you decide to car surf this time around, you’ll need to maintain your balance with the analog stick, can imagine some interesting videos on youtube with this feature!
